How to opt out of PeopleFinders

1
Search your name on https://www.peoplefinders.com, click the profile that is you and copy its URL from the address bar. PeopleFinders' example looks like https://www.peoplefinders.com/products/name?firstName=first&lastName=last&city=city&state=st&id=G-1234567890123456789.
2
Go to https://www.peoplefinders.com/opt-out and paste the profile URL into the first field.
3
Enter your email address, complete the "not a robot" check and click Send Request.
4
Click the verification link in the email PeopleFinders sends; PeopleFinders says the opt-out is only confirmed once you click it.
5
If you find more than one profile that is you, submit the form again for each profile URL.

PeopleFinders, LLC also lists FindANeighborhood.com in the California data broker registry. The opt-out page doesn't say whether a request covers that site.

Tips

Don't email your request: PeopleFinders' help center says it does not process privacy requests received by email. Use the form or the opt-out phone line.
PeopleFinders says it regularly receives new public records, so your information may appear again; it recommends refreshing your opt-out from time to time.
The opt-out hides your profile on PeopleFinders. PeopleFinders says it does not remove the data from its original source, so your details can still appear on other sites.
